Last Saturday saw the NSW Treasurer Hon. Matt Kean come down to Thornleigh Squash and Fitness to
officially open the new fitness centre. A big thank you to Matt for your support and coming down to see our swanky new digs. Also, thank you to Peter Sinodinos for all your hard work, this truely wouldn't have been possible without you.
The upgrades have all been thanks to funding received by the Greater Sydney Facilities Grant and Squash NSW.
It has been 2 years in the making, through COVID uncertainty, lockdowns, global supply chain challenges and wet weather delays; we are finally able to say we are officially fully operational.
Squash NSW now has a centre of excellence that is universally accessable, offering us the unique opportunity to implement new programs that can cater to a greater audience within our community.
Thank you Andrew Kellert and his amazing team at Themic Construction Services. You guys did an great job.
We had a full on day with guest appearances from the Hon. Matt Keen, Squash NSW board and CEO, Mick from Briars Sport, Hornsby Shire Major Phil Ruddock and our biggest sponsor Matthew Roberts from Pennat Hills Alto Group
The sausage sizzle was on point thank you Alex,
Coach Mitch got the little ones on the court, playing games and teaching them how to play the sport we love. While Larissa and Marty ran free Strength and Conditioning classes in the fancy new gym
Matt even got on court with his old coach, Rohan and gave him a little run around.
It was a great day that saw a few new faces through the doors. Thank you Rex, Brooke and the team for all the work that you put in to keep the business going through construction and to make sure the place was in top shape for the big day.
